We're Pune City's Trusted Animal Rescue NGO

Welcome to Sinhgad Animal Welfare Charitable Trust (SAW)! Since our inception in 2015, we’ve believed that even the smallest act of kindness can spark monumental change. What started with just five passionate individuals has grown into a dynamic team of over 125 dedicated members.

Our Core Focus

Our core focus is on ABC (Animal Birth Control) drives, and with the support of Canine Control And Care and Blue Cross Society of Pune, we’ve successfully sterilized over 14,000 dogs as of November 2024. Our volunteers, integral to our mission, play crucial roles in feeding, rescuing, and finding loving homes for countless animals.

We’re also grateful for the ongoing support from Animal Rescue Trust, Rescue Charitable Trust, Pets Force Pune, and other NGOs which helps us address the needs of thousands of injured or sick animals. Our adoption coordinators ensure that every animal finds a safe, forever home, contributing to their health and well-being. Join us in our mission to make a lasting impact on animal welfare in Pune.

Our Approach

At Sinhgad Animal Welfare Charitable Trust, our comprehensive approach addresses the rescue, treatment, fostering, neutering, and adoption of numerous stray and homeless animals, including dogs, cats, cattle, horses, birds, and even snakes. Partnering with major NGOs in Pune, we have successfully facilitated the adoption of over 500 animals, ensuring timely updates from their new families.

Our dedicated volunteers are committed to animal welfare, responding to emergencies even during late hours. While our primary focus has been Sinhgad Road, we extend our services across Pune, including Kothrud, Warje, Sahakar Nagar, Katraj, Kondhwa, Mulshi, and Peth Area, adapting to the needs of animals in various communities.
